Locomobile

Project for Entrepreneurship 421; Identifying and Exploring Entrepreneurship Opportunities. Locomobile started as an idea for an initial assignment and morphed into an idea for which my team created a start-up feasibility analysis and proposal.
Purpose:
Draft a business idea that solves an ordinary issue and develop the idea into a functional business plan.

Notes:
Locomobile was created to be an app to make cargo train information available to the public so they can avoid or plan for railroad crossings along their commutes. This project was not one of my favorites because the project was much more focused on understanding and analyzing the possibilities of new ventures and their feasibility. I would have liked to get more in-depth into the business idea; however, the lack of feasibility ruled such efforts futile. However, the value of the project was strong as I have never worked on an idea that wasn't feasible. I realized early in the development process that the idea was not worthwhile and would serve better as a feature in an existing global navigation app like Google or Apple Maps, or Waze, however, the class assignment required me to continue my work with the project.. Much of the valuable information is included in the five-page Feasibility Analysis included above and the presentations my group performed.
